Individual Counselling

The aim of counselling is to provide you, the client, with a confidential opportunity to explore personal and relational issues in safety and offer you the support and guidance through those challenging times. My role is to help you through this process without judgement in a non-directive way, not offering advice, but exploring alongside you, and gaining an insight and understanding your needs, emotions and struggles. Sessions are offered over a short or long period, dependent on your needs, issues and also your progress. I may occasionally offer suggestions or offer information.

  • You can self-refer at any time – Allow time for yourself without any distractions to focus of the issues that you generally struggle to talk about with others

  • Allows you to let your guard down, to open up and speak about difficult issues and fears without the fear of being judged

  • Sharing the burden of and working together to gain a deeper understanding of your process, help identify any triggers and blockages that are stopping you from progressing in life, improving different areas of your life, such as; relationships, moods, productivity at work, boost your motivation, tackle anxiety etc

  • You will get the counsellor’s undivided attention and support; listening, empathising, understanding and observing

  • Work with you to explore your strengths and a better understanding of how you may be able to apply this to everyday life, to live a more fulfilled lifestyle

  • Help release any tension mentally, which will have a positive effect on you physical wellbeing

  • Will enable you to feel more relaxed and more able to deal with everyday issues

  • See your thoughts from a different perspective
